Bike Mechanic
Position Overview:
High Output Tours is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bike Mechanic to maintain our fleet of bikes and ensure they are in excellent condition for our adventure tours. The Bike Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment while supporting our guides and guests with a top-notch biking experience.
About the Job
Key Responsibilities:

Bike Maintenance and Repairs:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of Trek mountain, hybrid, and electric bikes to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Keep accurate maintenance records for each bike.

Inventory Management:

Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.

Order replacement parts and supplies as needed, staying within budget guidelines.

Equipment Inspection:

Conduct pre- and post-tour inspections of bikes to identify potential issues.

Ensure all bikes are clean, tuned, and ready for use daily.

Support Operations:

Assist with gear setup and breakdown for tours as needed.

Work closely with guides to ensure equipment needs are met and provide quick fixes during tours if necessary.

Train guides on basic bike maintenance and safety checks.

Customer Interaction:

Occasionally interact with guests to address bike-related questions or concerns.

Provide brief tutorials to guests on bike operation and safety as needed.

Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as a bike mechanic or equivalent technical skills (certification preferred but not required).

Strong knowledge of bike repair and maintenance, including electric bike systems.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Passion for outdoor adventures and sustainability is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move bikes and equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Comfortable working in a workshop environment and outdoors.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays during the busy season.
