Dock Rep / Operations Coordinator
Position Overview:
High Output Tours is looking for an organized and outgoing Dock Representative / Operations Coordinator to act as the face of our company at the docks while managing daily operational logistics. This dual role is essential to ensuring smooth communication with guests, guides, and partners while maintaining efficient tour operations. About the Job
Key Responsibilities:

Guest Engagement at the Dock:

Greet and assist guests arriving for tours, providing friendly and professional service.

Confirm bookings, answer questions, and direct guests to the appropriate guides or transportation.

Handle any last-minute changes or issues, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Coordination with Guides and Operations Team:

Act as a point of contact between ship staff, guides, and the operations base.

Ensure guides have all necessary information and materials for each tour.

Communicate updates, delays, or changes to the schedule promptly.

Operational Logistics:

Oversee the timing and flow of tour departures to avoid conflicts or delays.

Monitor transportation logistics, including coordinating shuttles or other vehicles.

Assist with maintaining and organizing tour departure equipment and supplies.

Problem Solving:

Quickly resolve guest or operational issues, escalating to the Operations Manager if needed.

Adapt to unforeseen challenges, such as weather changes or schedule adjustments.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain accurate records of guest check-ins, no-shows, and feedback.

Provide daily reports on operations to the management team.

Support data collection related to tour performance and dock activity.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.

Familiarity with Sitka’s tourism industry and transportation logistics is a plus.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.

Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or operations coordination preferred.

Physical ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
